·  We will utilize electronic medium for communication for as many purposes as possible. Not only will we save on the costs of paper, printing, and postage, but also we will help save trees and eliminate the need to use fossil fuels in delivering mail. Every time we mail a paper letter and every time we add someone to our mailing list, we will notify people how they can opt into email and opt out of print.

·  Cull our mailing list. If we haven’t heard from someone on our mailing list in three years, we will ask him or her if they want to remain on the list. Sending information to people who are truly interested will save us money and save the world some trees.

·  We will replace regular light bulbs with compact fluorescent light bulbs. They cost 2-3 times more, but they last up 10 times longer and use 2/3 the energy of a conventional bulb.

·  We will reconsider our dress code. We will turn the thermostat a bit down in the winter, and encourage sweaters, and turn it up in the summer and encourage short-sleeves.

·  We will recycle. We will set up bins for paper, cardboard, plastic, and aluminum/glass, or whatever is offered for recycling in our local area. Our waste management company offers curbside pick-up and will take the recycled pieces to the local recycling center.

·  We will look to buy fuel efficient vehicles.

· We will buy recycled products. From copier paper to toilet paper, we will go through a lot of supplies. We have made the decision to always buy recycled where and when available.
