Jordan's Wish

In 2002, Jordan (Jody) received a Wish from the Make a Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley.  Her wish was to meet NASCAR Driver Dale Earnhardt Jr.  Make a Wish flew her and her family to the Pepsi 400 in Daytona Beach, Florida where they spent a week of racing, behind the scenes tours and meeting several NASCAR Drivers and Teams.  This particular wish was extremely special as Jordan became the first person to receive a wish from Dale Earnhardt Jr.

The week was capped off with a fun filled day at Walt Disney World where Jordan and her family spent the day on rides without the hassle of waiting in lines.

That week changed Jordan’s life forever.  It showed that someone cared enough to make her wish come true.  It also made her the focus of attention the entire time she was in Florida.  Finally, it showed Jordan that she had purpose in life.  That purpose would come to fruition in the weeks and years following her Wish.

Since that Wish, Jordan has focused her energy on giving back to the children in her community.  Her experiences with Make a Wish have truly changed her outlook on life.

The Forever Jordan Foundation has given her the means to change the lives of other children, as hers was changed, by being able to offer grants including wishes as well as grants to help children with mobility, nutrition, camp tuition or learning technology aides.

The Foundations goal is to help as many children in Rockland as possible, reaffirming Jordan’s hope to give back to the community, one child at a time.
